One of the activities of STOUD is the organization of workshops. Regularly, workshops are held focusing on dances from a specific period, such as the 16th and the 18th century. Other workshops offer an opportunity to integrate different theatrical disciplines. One workshop, for example, takes the form of playful theatrical exercises based on the lazzi (comic intermezzos) from the commedia dell'arte combined with dances derived from French baroque dance, the 18th century stage and party dance. The ultimate goal is to practise and perform a short narrative scene in which dance is interwoven with silent acting.

STOUD will also organize workshops as part of historical festivities, school programmes or extracurricular activities, or within the context of museum programming.
